Salty EK2 - suggestions on Maker?

Hello All,

This is the saltiest EK2 in my collection. The ribbon has an accompanying salty stink (which makes me love it that much more) along with a single 18mm x 25mm ribbon bar, that shows the sacrifices of combat.

Any suggestions as to the maker would be appreciated.

nice cross, although from these photos the core looks repainted. I am going to take a long shot on the maker, and say S&L,..im just guessing...

It does look very similar to a MM S&L I have in a side-by-side comparison. This one does have a different core and none of the die flaws on the end of the 12 and 3 o'clock arms as the S&L and what looks to be the start of a flaw on the 9 o'clock arm - maybe it is an early example.

I was going to going with a MM25 based on the few photos I've seen that look real close.
