    Zimmermann carton but wrong cross ?

    Hey folks,

    I have a bit of a mystery..

    Im being offered this cross, box and cardboard carton.

    The first thing I noticed is that the Zimmermann carton has

    ORDENFABRIK STUTTGART

    On other Zimmerman boxes Ive seen PFORZHEIM

    Im sure that is important but dont know why?


    Also, the cross has the number on the outside of the coke bottle pin and it looks like an 8. I know it should be a 20 for ZIMMERMANN

    Im getting another picture of the pin stamping


    I saw on another post that someone paid 750 EURO for nice EK1 with box and cardboard box.. WOW that over a 1000.00 USD??

                I changed the last pic to try to read the number.. it looks like an 8 to me??

                any other ideas??

                  Looks like a good set to me. REmember, there are 2 Zimmermans, I believe one was in Pforzheim & the other Stuttgart. The "6." stamping on this one is correct. Some of them have them high up on the pin - such as this one - and others toward the middle.

                    The number on your pin should be a '6' for Fritz Zimmermann or Stuttgart. Everything is fine. Nice set!

                      Well I think I answered my own question


                      I forgot that there were 2 ZIMMERMANNS


                      Fritz code 6

                      and

                      CF Zimmermann code 20


                      I think this is the one Im getting

                      I zoomed the pic in and now I can pretty much guess its a 6 not an 8.. Ill get conformation from the seller.

                      Any other thoughts?

                      I havent heard much about FRITZ 6 ZIMMERMANN's on the market??

                        They're not a rare cross, no. You find them for sale occasionally on sites.

                        Like Hank was saying, some are stamped on the top, some in the middle. Yours is for certain a '6'.
