I agree with Robert and Daniel. Paul Meybauer.

While the stamp looks like it could be a number '13,' it does not look like my Brehmer '13' stamp, which is incuse. Also the cross is an excellent match to Meybauer, as Robert and Daniel have said.

I've finally bitten the bullet and bought one of these bad boys. It's definitely not cheap with the shipping costs and import taxes. But, it's definitely worth it!

Here's my maiden shot with my Meybauer as a guniea pig:

Outstanding definition! This is the best I can do with my 5 megapixel Sony with Zeiss lens...

I'd drop the magnification slightly for things like the date as the numbers lose their definition a little when they fill the page like that. This beauty is going to be very useful for getting good closeups of things like flaws. It certainly makes counting ribbon loops a breeze.

I'm still calibrating on how to correct the focal distance and focus. It took me about 30 mins., just to get this one pix.

This is the '1939' from the same cross as above.

A comparison shot between an RK (left) and an EK2 (right) from one of the corners. Notice the very deep groove in between the beadings of the RK. It's as if the beadings of the RK are made individually whereas on the EK, they are just a blur of globs. What a difference!
