Strange ek2

Hi everyone

I have had this cross for awhile and it is not one Iam accustomed to. It is a bit odd to me, it has a strange texture to it an is a bit thicker and heavier in hand compared to others, does anyone know this maker?

Robert, right seconds before i read your post that thought just crossed my mind ! weird

there are seams on the outer frame and it appears to be 3 piece construction, however the core is very tight in the frame and i cannot slip even a business cardbetween core and frame. i go with 3 piece but with a small doubt.

Very interesting ek Dion, but is it just my eyes or is there a slight seem on this ek's frame maybe indicating three part construction? I have out lined this in orange from one of your pics to highlight this for you all to have a wee look at.

yes kai, i wrote that, the core is jammed in the frame tightly.

It looks very like this one I sold a while ago. I posted it here but never did find out who the maker was.

I'm not disputing your word by any means, but all three of my Paulmann & Crone EKII's have small ribbon rings, although not as small as Dion's.

Dion, I just can't find a match.

I have seen these small rings more often on medalbars.

The cross is for sale now.
Note that the Ostmedal in the same group has the same small ring:

And like Robert, I can not think about a certain maker.
But I see absolutely nothing wrong with the cross!
