      Good luck ;-)
And I hope all will benefit from the research and usefull info posted :-)

      ben :-)
      I don't know what I should say

I think ben and me will never been good friends

But I don't want be the reason, that a lifetime member say "I am out"!
It is really not my intention to leave like this!

Sometimes I wish I could find a reset button and restart with neutral emotion, but mybe there was some conservation before and too much beer @ late night, what create this reaction "over and out"!

I enjoy my hobby collecting EK1 and it is funny, that we can not share this pleasure

      Ben, Sorry for that

Maybe our biggest problem is, that we both have the same bullhead

Now where is the reset button???

      I think I found it

Sorry, that I can not hold my promise "over and out" because I have found the reset button

      @ Ben ;-)

Here is somethink for you! Do you rember on the EK1 L/59 item first pin system ?!?!

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=345776

This cross is not magnetic and have no maker mark! And it is not so beautiful!

      Your turn, ben ;-)

I have a personal opinion, but somethimes it is better just to ignore something.

I only hope that I misunderstand Ben's words. Because how I understand it, a lot of knowledge in this section would be lost again.
I agree with Luud and sincerely hope Ben is still here. I can understand and agree with Ben's point of view and I can also understand 5tefan wanting to post images of his collection. Maybe he can start a reference thread for EK1s where his crosses can be viewed for collectors wanting to compare their examples.

I now know that Ben meant that he was only out of this thread.
He will just ignore some threads, but I think that will be very hard when 50% of the threads on the first page are posted by only one person.

I still would like to see some pictures of the Clamshell by daylight.
I do not doubt the disc, but maybe it has been replaced.

            I bought a Deumer Schinkel EK1 a week ago wich had a L/58 disc.
The Dealer also had a Souval with a Deumer Clamshell

              That's good news.
I hoped 5tefan might have put his EK1s in one thread though!

I hope so ;-) That he only ignore some thread - it is easy ;-)

Here are the pictures of the Calmshell @ daylight and with flash light ;-)

                  5tefan,

Why don't you seriously consider Adrian's suggestion and consolidate your crosses into a single thread? As I post this, you currently have 10 separate threads just on the first page!

                  Regards,

                  Ed

I think it is not OK to put 8 differnt EK1 in one thread!!!
But this is only my personal opinion! I also use not for every single picture one new replay! So why don't you like that I seperate the different maker each thread? Sometimes I don't understand your suggestion! But if you don't like, that I do seperate my threads maker by maker, you are free to ignore my threads ;-) You need only to see the name of the thread starter "5tefan" and I hope it make not too much work to scroll with your mouse wheel.

Sorry , sorry, sorry Ed & Adrian for your inconvenience

                      Hi Stefan,
There is a good reference thread here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=EK2+LIST+PICS for all makers of the EK2. What I meant was maybe you could start the same thing for EK1s, get them all on one thread. The crosses can still be found by using the search function.

Maybe a good idea ;-) But I need more time to prepare it ;-)

But now I understand your suggestion ;-) Many Thanks ;-)

I don't want to be critical, but only want to give an advice wich would be better for everyone:

I think that is a very good idea to make a thread like Adrian mentioned and post all the crosses in there of wich you already know what it is.
And you just start a seperate thread for a cross that is very odd, or really want some thought from others on.

I think less people are irritated by the many threads and you will get more serieus responses if you really want to have some thought from other experienced collectors in stead of many people that are now ignoring you!

I would also advice you to give some information of what you think yourself about the crosses you post.
For the newbies it gives some information wich else maybe wouldn't have been said and for the more experienced collectors see that you also want to share your knowledge.
That will give you more respect and those people will be helpfull when you need them!

Your pictures show many details, but are disrupted by the artificial light.
Maybe you just throw in some more pictures that are made in daylight.Especially in the threads where you want some feedback about it's originality.

Just some thoughts/advices! But it is your own right to do whatever you want

Well, since it's my turn, Stefan:

we can't all be friends , and that is not necessary either to discuss ek's.

For a second I thought you understood what I was trying to explain to you, but the "fresh start" was only a new beginning, like we have already seen on any other forum you post you crosses on.
A half page with single ek-threads.
                            Way to go!

When you get the advise to post the crosses in one thread, you reply that they can skip your threads.

May I remind you of the fact that this is not your ek section, but a part of the forum for all ek collectors???

If you get off on seeing all those threads on all your crosses, why not start your own forum??

I have thanked the forum members that encouraged you to post on personally, but only 1 single person replied.
                            Way to go guys!!

Stefan, go ahead and post away!!!

I go along with the members stating one thread for all your crosses! It gives others a chance to have an item up on the first page and seems like a logical plan for you 5tefan!

This is a forum for asking questions, identification and also to show what one has. The forum lives on that!

A lot of people do not visit all the other fora so one cannot be faulted for posting "everywhere." Some people do that, some don't. Some do it to ask the usual "good - bad" question - some do it just to "show". Both is fine!

A single thread with just one cross has the benefit that - if proper titled - it will help the few people () who use the search function (I am certainly one!).

All the crosses of one owner in one thread should rather be posted in the Collections Display Forum.

Let us all be friendly, understandable and always remember: one does not need to look nor is there a need to comment if one doesn't want to!

What is important is that we look and learn!
