    Eki #5 ?

Have a EkI with mark #5 on the needle. Any ideas of who made

It might be a cross with a later added mm, but it can also be a complete fake.Don't recall having seen a real "5" marked ek (1 or 2) ever...

    Best regards,
    Ben

According to my records, #5 was not an EKI producer, Are you sure it is not a 6, sometimes the stamps can play tricks on the eye... Is it three piece? Magnetic? Is pin magnetic? Hard to say what you have without photos?

Jim, can you tellme the Origin of that cross?
I am only aware that the origin of all these mm5's are from a German Dealer.
Your cross looks like one of the versions with this mark I have put in the fake/postwar stamped files

I repeat myself here, but I have never seen an original "5" ek.

In other words: a "5" marked ek is marked post-war!!

                  Nope....

                  No Wiedmann.

Post-war added marked, most likely pretty recently...

                          No, not a Wiedmann. Here's a '19' Wiedmann...

Wiedmann's have a very different and distinct numbering system...

Hey Robert! Good to see you posting!!! Is your Wiedmann a wide frame? Just wondering as it looks like it in the photo? Nice example!
