    My First EKII 1939

This weekend, I attend the Badger Militaria Show in Janesville, WI. While there, I was able to pick up my first original 1939 EKII and it is a beauty! It's a minty Klein and Quenzer (65) and this baby glistens! There is not a scratch on it, just a couple of imperfections in the paint.

As usual, comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

How were you able to go so long without getting an EK2? I think most collectors start with one. A very nice Cross. Be careful these things have a way of multiplying in your collection.

It's a '65' Klein & Quenzer, not a '55'. Hammer & Sohne marked their EKs with an incuse stamp, not like the cross above.

Here are some pics of the cross in question with a marked '65' from my collection. Bear in mind that Mauser's cross looks like it has considerably thicker paint applied to the core.
                            Swastika and inner corner beading....
