EK1 Fake Database/ opinion on a EK1

I haven't seen another just like this, but it is certainly convincing. The pin reminds me of some 1914 models.

what if its a 1914 frame with a 1939 core? and thats the reason for the bad soldering

You bring a good balance to things. 'Why haven't we seen these before?' I can remember an FLL flak that was posted on the boards not long ago, from Lakesidetrader's Paul Hogle. At first it was deemed a fake right off. Then, with more study, it became apparent we were dealing with an original badge. All the hardware matched FLL, factory varnish still in place, etc.. Perhaps the pin on this cross can be traced back to 1914...??? I've learned not to close the door on things prematurely.

If the pin as Leroy said, looks like a 1914 ek1 pin, then it might be from an original 1914 cross. Field made? perhaps. it is really an interesting cross.

It makes me wonder where the owner changed core on the 1914 cross, or where he got the 1914 cross from.

I don't know, but you can bet that many frames were made from the dies of this cross by the looks of the flaws. If a 1914 frame, I would expect more along the line of a Schinkel type frame. Just my thinking. Hitler demanded the Schinkel be done away with in '39 and the new frame design of 1939 be introduced.
