    Just bought this EK2

Hello, my name is Atli and I am new at collecting third reich stuff. (although I have dabbled in coin collecting)
I recently acquired this EK2 and thougth you guys might be able to tell me something about it.

    Scan of front:

    Scan of back:

edit: the thing that fastens the ring to the cross is broken, it is visible in the scan of the back (there is a gap of c.a. 1/3 of a mm)

    Hi Atli,

And welcome to the crosses forum. I am not certain which maker made your cross, but I can say with certainty it is an original. I'll do some checking in my files for you.

I'm not matching your cross to any in my files, which doesn't matter - I have only 2/3rds of the known maker's crosses. This is another S&L design cross, and there are many like this. Perhaps someone with a match will give us a solid answer. Sorry I couldn't help.

We can guarantee, if you do, you (and others) won't like it. It LOOKS like it's 60+ years old. If you want a shiny mint EKII, there are plenty out there to buy. I love the vintage, old look.

Hi and thanks for the answers. I also prefer the aged look and wouldn't dream of cleaning it.

                            Nice EK2 you purchase,
never mind if has a repair at the jump ring
Learn to love these babies unclean and with wounds!!

Is it a purchase from a collector or an e-seller? ( You answer if you like )

Actually it doesn't have repair, it only has the damage (The scan makes it look like repair, though). I might try to photograph the damage when I get home from work.

I bought it from Detlev Niemann.
