I guess I'm still confused, because it seems to match the example in your second link.

        Robert,

You're right and I truly appreciate all the help. It has been educational to say the least. I will take your advice and take a look at all the facts on the thread.

        Thanks again,
        Chad

          I would say that's a real "Schickle" :

It's the same hinge and pin system like the early [L/15] EK I's.

The design of this KVK looks like a late war production, which I personally think is not by Schickle. At the moment I think they are by F. Orth.

Now you have more to study Chad,

Daniel has given you some lengthy threads to digest, and I hope you can stay focused through all the yaddi yaddi, and come though it with something understandable. 'L/15' vs. 'L15' is nearly as confusing as the Juncker EK debate. Well, maybe just confusing to me. When I see two crosses with the same hardware, yet the badges differ in obverse detailing, I stumble at the thought of both being original, or at least declared to be by the same maker.

Daniel, I'm still not convinced about the cross you're pointing to in the link. People can scream and yell in but I'm not buying it.

I'm also not buying that L/15 should be Orth. I'm aware of the mm1 - L/10 and 3 - L/11 so it would perhaps seem logical that mm15 (Orth) could be L/15. Only problem is that Orth already have L/14 so it doesn't seem so likely imo.

It's only my assumption, because the L15 EK's (not L/15!!!) have only EK-parts by F. Orth. All these EK's are made with Souval or Orth frames/cores and we know that Souval provided Orth (both are from Wien).
