You could be right there, why did he outlaw them though?

Wearing a KC backwards is not unheard of. There is also a portarait of an Oaks winner wearing his Oaks up side down in the picture.

I think we see the backside of a PlM (and the backside of the KC).

OL winner of the Luftwaffe with the PlM? I certainly do not recognize this man as a PlM of the German WW1 airforce. Of course he could have served in the army or navy during the WW1, but under all circumstances he must have been very young during that war.

I can scan the reverse later but it is the same as so many other private portrait postcards, which is one of the items I collect. It has the postcard layout with the lines for the address etc, and is on Agfa paper. If this was anything but that or an actual photo I thought was wartime, I would not have picked it up.

                        Maybe this is Alfred Keller?

He is not listed as Oak Leaf winner, but strangely the photo on das-ritterkreuz.de shows him as well with O L.

Maybe both photos are post war photos and somehow he believed he was entitled to wear the O L.
We know there were unauthorized presentations/awardings of KC and higher classes in the closing days of the war.

Post war eh? I'm not big on that, but even so, this would still be an interesting item. It is a private postcard type. When after the war would he have done this? He is still wearing a Third reich uniform. Would this be something he would want to show off and send through the mail after the war? The backwards RK hints at this but the LW eagle with Swaz contradicts this. Hmmmm.

                            Alfred Keller? Don´t think so.

James, that should be Mr Munster really!
Definately not Keller, is the guy in the original photo wearing an early style metal breast eagle?
