                I guess it was worn a lot Robert.
                I purchased it like this, reverse still has the plating.

                Still a nice piece, although yours looks better

                      Yes, Ben, I really like the vintage look yours has. I'm guessing it's recipient wore it for many years under extreme conditions.

                      I notice each example posted has been finished a little different on the wings next to the eagle's head.
