Hi guys,
I was just reading over this thread and noted WenRan (Randy) has concerns with the EKI.

I think it's a good one so have opened this thread.
To me it's an authentic Souval frame cross with Souval core. I note that the points I check when authenticating Souval EKI are all in place and that the reverse hardware conforms to examples I have seen pictured. Here is what I look for...
Die flaw in 12 o'clock arm...it's present.
Extended centre bead in all eight corners...present.
Rounded inner beading adjacent to swas...present.
"Fat" Souval swas as opposed to "Thin" Orth (or other) swas...present.
Dipping 3 in 1939 date...present.
Can those of you with more experience than I comment here. Am I missing something that Randy has spotted? I tried a PM to him but we are on opposite sides of the world so he is probably sound asleep as I write this.
Regards to all,
Stu
