Hi, I have a question, I have a gentleman who is selling a knights cross, NOT marked 800 on the top BUT IS marked L/12 Junkers on the top. Im trying to get him to send some close-up pics of the back, the oak leaves and all the specifics, but have you ever heard of a KC without an 800 stamp and marked L/12? Is there a red flag anywhere? Something i should be aware of?

THe gentleman says...
He got the KC from Bill Shea AKA "The Ruptured Duck" I have heard mostly good things and not too much about dubious pieces coming from him . Does that fact that the seller claims it came from him, and in fact if it did, change the likelyhood of it being authentic or would it still smell like a red herring?
