From the start I did not think this was a W&L frame..it is also very wide on the flanges.

Dion,
Very interesting cross you have.
Can you provide better pictures because to me it looks like a GUSTAV BREHMER (mm13).
The stamp looks very good for a W&L to me, unlikely postwar stamped.
IMO either a rare combination or the ring is replaced.Last edited by LuckyLuudje; 04-25-2008, 07:52 AM.

ebnso an der oberen innenliegenden zargenkannte.
Iam back home guys, the swaz does not look especially elevated to me, but the texture is what gets me. Fake for me is definitely ruled out but really a curiousity. I photoed it also next to a 44 so you can see the width of the flange.
qick edit, now on the foto I do see the swaz is on platform, sometimes the camera is quicker then the eye!Attached FilesIam Uncle Sam

Like I said before the EK2 is IMO still mady by Gustav Brehmer.
Brehmer frames have also these wide flanges.
My mm13 next to my mm44 shows exactly the same difference like on your picture.
The only thing what is strange is the paint and the ring of a W&L.
This kind of glossy, textured paint I haven't seen before on a Brehmer EK2.
Doesn't mean it's painted postwar, but based on these pic's I don't like it.Last edited by LuckyLuudje; 04-25-2008, 06:00 PM. Reason: A lot of typo's, drunk already to much Wodka
