    4 935 Rk

    Hello folks,
Here is my example to compare it to. I agree that the example posted does not look correct.

Hey Jody. Any history behind yours?

          Thanks, Jody!

Any close-ups of the markings so folks can see the specific shape and appearance of yours?

          Best,
          Leroy

            4 935 Rk

            Hi guys,
To begin with (Leroy) those are the best pictures I have and those were taken around 15 years ago.

Darrell, I obtained the cross in the mid 70's from a US veteran. He told me it was captured in the Ruhr Pocket and I obtained it and several other awards from him at the same time. The man kept all of the awards in a coffee can and my mother paid him $30 for the RK. At the time I thought it was a 2nd class EK and didn't realize what it was until I took it home.

            Regards,
            Jody

BTW, here is a blurry photo from 1976 showing some of the other stuff that came from him (except for the SS brassard and the airgunner badge). The DK is a 5 rivet. Yes, that is a P/O badge. Not bad for a 12 year old.

Hate to leave Jody's wonderful haul.............but, back to the cross that started this thread.

Could anyone post the markings on an "accepted" 935-4 so we could see differences? The finish on this one certainly isn't what would be expected and I would be a bit surprised if Mr. Baldes didn't already know that. Not having a 935-4, however, I would have to defer to those who do to show us all the points to be be noted, so we can all learn from this.

Thanks, Dietrich, but I'm not seeing anything. Perhaps it's my computer.

                          Dietrich,
I'am in the same boat as Leroy. I don't see anything either.

I just opened with a different browser (Opera) and I see it.

I upload again here, so let "see".

But since the general technical performance of this forum is below acceptable anyway I'm not surprised at all....

Still "no go" for me. I've re-booted, but no change.
