Imho Looks Like A Nice Worn Example-shows Some Nice Character. I Believe The Earlier Ones Did Not Have The "9" Flaw. You Always See The Unissued Ones, but The Combat Worn Ones Just Talk To You.

                      Hello there,

The wreath on this one really lacks detail....

I Think The Lack OF Detail Is The Flash As Well As The Piece Being Well Worn.

                          Again,

The "accepted" flawed wreath here is NOTHING like the one on the example posted:

                          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=255984

I want detailed scans of the posted wreath before I give it my blessing.

Here we have a severe lack of detail, the color is completely wrong (may be the flash, but doubtful) and you can barely see the outer ring of red thread.

In The Thread Posted By William - The Red Outer Ring Is Also Not Visible In Some Areas? I Think We Should Wait For Robert Pierce To Add His Comments. IN THE WORST CASE I THINK THE WREATH HAS BEEN WORN DOWN AND POSSIBLY POLISHED UP A BIT.

I really think the wreath lacks the detail one would expect from an original one. I do not think that could be because of wear, or the flash from the camera.

But better and more detailed picture would really be helpfull.
