Nice grouping, aren't you going for it yourself?

His wehrpass was sold a few auctions back by andreas thies.
And in this grouping his ccc (do not know wich grade) is missing.

Who in the right mind sells a GROUPING off in bits? The guy who sold the soldier book should be shot himself, honestly whats up with people. That grouping should stay together

I also agree ... however ... chances are most of the items are put together anyway ...

I hear this "keep the grouping together" thing all the time but:

To put it in perspective I guess all of Babe Ruth's homerun balls, bats, and uniforms should be together...

All of Van Gough's paintings should be together...

All of (insert famous personallity here) (insert possessions here) should be together....

That would mean that only super rich people could collect this stuff. I would rather see chains of custody go with pieces so that their history is not lost.

Normally, the dealers offer the groups all together. When they do not sell, the groups are split apart. The only way to ensure the groups are kept together is to buy the group before it is split up.

Dealers must have sales to survive and buying the group may not be easy for each collector to afford. At least, when a group is split up, the collectors have an opportunity of owning something from a Knight's Cross winner.
