You can try doing a search for Raptor or BH Mayer and see if you have a match.

The upper left is an L/15 Otto Schickle. The top right and lower right are Raptor fakes...

Look at the top of the 1's in the date boxes, the long skinny left talon, the sharp corners of the wings next to the eagle's head...

Otto Schickle on top right, Raptor on bottom...

Once again, the sharp inside corners of the wings next to the head, and the head outline...Catch on the Schickle is different...

Yes, jon, it's amazing the similarities between the two. I'm starting to pay closer attention to the catches on the Schickles, something the Raptors have missed. I've also found two different Raptor fakes on the market. The difference between the two is found in the '1' of 1939. Here's a montage showing the difference between a Raptor and a Schickle. But, also look at the '1' in the Raptor fake above, where it's in being held in-hand. The '1' is different on both Raptors. I'll make one more montage to illustrate better.

urgh, everytime I start looking at Schickle's my head hurts, and everything I've learned about them falls apart
                            great comparisons though
I try to compare wing veins, as somhow I can't get my head round the numeral differences. but for wing vein comparisons you need very good close up pics.
Schickle is also one of the spangen I havn't owned

I wish I'd grabbed that screwback from Weitze, but I just didn't trust the engraving
and of course, I'm waiting to get one dirt cheap from a dealer who thinks they're selling me a Raptor
                            regards
