    The same with mine, Trevor. On both of my other examples the seams are very tight, but still no solder, and no hand filing after assembly. P&C are one of my favorite makers in that they went with this method of assembly. Thank you for your input. I'll try and furnish a clear photo of the tight seam today...

      As promised here are two photos. The top with the tight unsoldered seam, the bottom the open upsoldered seam...

      Notice the 'flashing' (for lack of a better word) which shows at the seams of both frames. I don't know exactly how to describe what I see through a 10X loupe here, but it resembles base metal which was forced from between the two frames during the assembly process. Perhaps someone knowing the Gablonzer method of assembly can expound on this in a better way.
