    A Most Unusual First Class

I finally got around to going through more boxes of Iron Crosses and was classifying them. However, this one hit me as rather odd.

It appears to be a Godet cross, but is marked OM in incuse relief.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

        Bob,

Agreed, the pin assembly looks similar to the Godet-made EKI, but the obverse if off for a Godet...unless Godet made an earlier cross that I'm not aware of.

I think you have an extremely rare EKI, Bob.

        Here's an L/50 to compare...

          No Godet!

It's an early Deumer (only the early versions used the same hinge and pin system like Godet).
You can see it on number design.

          Regards

Let's see the bend of the pin underside round is for deumer, 90 degree for Godet/Zim...
Just noticed there are no lines on the hinge, indeed, Early Deumer, here's my example (copper plated iron core) to compare.

                Why the 'OM' stamp?

That rounded corner makes it a Deumer, yes!

Now with the Zim, we'd have that complete Pin family complete!
