    KC or Grand Cross ribbon

I have KC with a ribbon that I am sure that is not a KC ribbon.
The KC is a A-type S&L without flaws.

The ribbon measures 50 mm across.
The red part measures 26 mm
The black parts are 6 mm
The white parts are also 6 mm

    It does not glow.

Here are some pictures that I got of the ribbon and the cross, not all of them are good.

What makes you so sure it´s not a KC-ribbon?

All KC ribbons that I have seen are about 45 mm wide. I know that there is variations, but
somebody wrote that a ribbon like this are ment for the Grand Gross.
I think it was Peter Wiking, I can not find the thread at the moment.

The KC-ribbon shall be 45 mm and the GC dito 60 mm, but variations exist, so a 50 mm wide ribbon – if original of course – could be for either a KC or a GC, I guess.
However it would be hard to imagine, that any KC-holder would use a ribbon wider than 45 mm (more narrow – yes, but not wider IMO).

In this very case – look at the edges for example – the ribbon is not original at all.

                    Agreed. The humps are missing.

The re-enforced bunting gives it away as post war!

                        Thank you.

Any opinions about that KC from S&L?

I think it is a nice genuine cross, but since the ribbon is a fake I am starting to worry about the cross to.

No worries with the Cross...it's a fine early S&L!

I have been offered another ribbon.

What do you think about this type?
I have not looked at it , just a picture.
