VERY UNUSUAL MARKINGS...J.RIES TO THE RING..IVE NEVER SEEN THIS MAKER BEFORE . tHE CROSS IS VERY NICE 3 PART CONSTRUCTION WITH THE EARLY LOOSE CORE.. ANYONE SEEN ONE LIKE THIS BEFORE???

Do you think it might be the recipient's name?
We see it on EK1 and a jewller could easily stamp it.

Ive no idea of the value but its fantastic that its the recipient's name, ive only ever seen that on an EK1. This is a real first on an EK2. Very interesting crossComment

guys, i posted this a few months back when i found a EK2 with the ring markings J.Ries.
I have now come across a EK1 57 early magnetic iron core with the underside of the pin marked J.ries.
