    EK1 & EK2 collection

Well Celebrating a week off and a new camera ive decided to take some piccies of my small collection of EK's. A few are unmarked so if you recognise the maker.... thanks for looking, mike

    Cased EK1 mm 4

Cased EK1 mm 26 Not from the 1999 hoard, this came from the family, (well the husband selling off his wifes grandfathers EK1 he was KIA in 1944, probably why its remained so nice other than bit of spidering thumbs up for ebay on this one)

    uncased EK1 mm 26

    Cased EK1 mm 65

    Unmarked EK1 by Souval

EK1 unmarked, Vaulted with a loose core, anyone recognise the maker?

    EK2 mm24

    EK2 mm 55

    EK2 mm 65

    EK2 mm 113

EK2 unfinished, this was liberated by one of my distant relatives the frame has been assembled upside down, the marker for the ring is at the bottom! i'd love to know the maker for this, maybe it was taken from the factory?

    Brass Core Souval EK1

    Unknown Maker on this one

Another Unknown Maker but with a nice green case

Excellent stuff Mike, can't believe you've had the time to amass such a collection of EK's in the short time left between hunting for HJ Knives

                      Hello Mike,

I'll try to help you with some of the makers.
I think the EK1 in the green case may be a Fritz Zimmermann (6).
I think the EK1 before that is an unmarked B. H. Mayer (26).
                      I hope this helps.

                      Regards,
                      Stephen

cool, thanks Steven if its another mm26 ive got plenty to compare it too! those two have replaced pins so the reverse doesnt give any help in identification that way

Getting there slowly i can spot a shinkle and souval frame now

                          Hello again Mike,

I was looking at the final two crosses and I think the unfinished EK2 is a S&L. Also the unmarked EK1 with the loose core looks like a S&L but the pin seems different to a regular S&L pin.

                          Regards,
                          Stephen
