Any packet runs you $30 or more dollars and the tissue paper is something you'll never see. The set is more than the sum of it's parts really.
I paid retail, I know. But the chances of running across a mint packeted Deschler are slim. Weitze had two. I got one of them. So, it's water under the bridge, and I wound up with a beautiful Deschler.

I do not know how rare this set up is , like on post 17 - the example Robert posted . One side solid and the other side drilled or stamped out with that fine lip around the hole . Have a W&L with those exact same features .

The obverse looks like the Cross was drilled and the ring was inserted through the hole and the reverse looks soldered. If you look closely you can see the background through the hole on the obverse. This is wierd.

Iron Crosses with Souval frames have a similar feature with the ring soldered only to one frame.

            Ek 2 Deschler

            Hi Everyone
Here is one I recently picked up from the recent found Deschler hord. I paid $200 which I thought was a little high but couldn't resist that finish.

                      Steve,

$30.00 for a Deschler packet would be a real deal, as I have seen the harder-to-find maker's packets go for as high as $65.00 ea. on eBay...in fair condition. They're one thing that doesn't get cancelled out like the EK's, giving ample time for higher closing bids.

Yeah, your probably right. I can't see getting a 1 marked EK2 in the condition these hoard examples were in for less than $150 US.

Amazing sets! Does any of the respected dealers offer one of these?

All I can say is watch the dealer's updates for new sets. They don't last very long when they hit the screens.
