    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron..._50/l_50_1.htm

On this link you see a L/50 Godet, but the caracteristics of constructions are the same of the official 21.

The edge on frame on the centre, in the godet L/50 is "arrow tipe" in 21 posted are rounded.

The number 1 on the date 1939, L/50 (wehrmacht-awards) is different respect this 21.

the 2 form is different on mark 21 between first class and the ring of 2nd class.

    My opinion is :

Svastika mit 1939, these 2 zones were not painted .
you be retouch, to brush, and not to leave traces you/they have made to fall
    the drops varnish.

probably an original cross, but to which have added a 21 to increase the value

    Not a original 21 Godet

    This is my personal opinion

        I add the pic.

        http://img251.imageshack.us/my.php?i...030388lsx4.jpg

See the red line, is a bordre line between the original and repainted zone.

The arm of 1 inside a green circle is more long than the classic 1 of Godet.

I repeat, this is my opinion, not a judgement.

        Ciao/ cheers

They do exist...but look at the mark, very different from the '21' Rainer posted. And his cross exhibits ONLY the correct pin, nothing more, maybe the hinge.

The cross that started this thread is settled, but even in the posts (I stumbled over that one earlier, too) I could not find pix of a good 21 - or did I miss sth.?

              Rainer,

Here is a photo of a '21'-stamped EKI that W.C. Stump posted in post #20 in the link I gave you, lightened to show the true characterists of a Godet EKI. Notice the fine pointed inner beading adjacent the swastika, the multiple beads per arm, the thin swastika, the predominate '3' in 1939. Further back in the thread you will see the stamp '21', which resembles the stamp I posted on my '21' EKII. Here we have a photo of a '21'-marked EKI, ultra rare at that...
