The thread title was mean't to say, 'Two high quality REPRODUCTION 134's ?'
So sorry about that, not a very interesting thread I know as this award of mine has been discussed before. But If it is a fake or not my DK, any conclusion will possibly benefit others.
As a last resort and I think a final say on it I'll in the end send it to Detlev.
But please guys I'm interested in your opinions especialy 134 owners or DK collectors.
Is there a main man on DK's here ?
Kind regards,
Marcus
I'll stick my neck out I think this could be genuine although I'm not really happy with some of the differences. At the end of the day it's up to me but you guys have more experience and certainly more knowledge, so I'll take on board what you have to say.

Hi Merdock,
Thank you, thats one of the sunken rivet ones. I've noticed 3 types so far that are geuine.
External type, like mine
Sunken with accomadating recess
And those that are sunken without a small perimeter gap around the rivet.
Dates seem to differ as well on genuine examples as well.

dkig 134
Hi marcus. I bought a dkig maker marked 134 from bill shea. I posted all the mesurments about a week ago. the only thing that i cant do is measure the weight. as I use my bullet loading calipers to measure the size. but my powder scale is in grains not the same as grams. but here is the link to the mesurements

here is the link to the photoshttp://www.thirdreichforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=188580#188580 of the cross

I have made three scans of a cross I have which is a 134. I cannot offer weights and dimesnions....it is a light weight piece. It does not have any provenance...but since I have had this in my collection since 1982, I have no doubt of its authenticity. As well, it has no problems compared against those in books.Attached FilesCSP

Hi dear Marcus,
I admir your appointment with your DKiG but....unfortunately by my opinion is a reproduction.
I see many bad points in it => date, wreath, silver plate down the svastika, hallmark, rivets and the silver frosted in reverse side. measurements and weights is right they are very importants in DKs' , but the other points too.
you can see in direct comparison with many good original DK here in this thread, the differences I said before.
for example, even if I cannot see as I would like can see your maker mark, it looks like the following photo of a reproduction.
sorry

I think you are right, the only dim glimmer of hope was it wasm't like Detlevs excellent reproduction. I think my back is to similar to his and the rivets.
I think too 99.9% it is fake, .1 was in desperate hope, never mind, one day I'll get the real thing.
Kind regards,
Marcus
I'll try my best to scan the 134, at least this can be used as a reference.

Two things I was thinking about went on there including the Golden KVK, I was going to sell my numbered PAB's and put the rest on a small business account I have.
I have a small business which supplements my wifes wages, while I'm training to be a commercial pilot.
Oh well both have been sold now, best of cutting your suite according to your cloth. I don't like loans or credit cards, I only spend what I have or can make.
This is a difficult game of big bucks, where knowledge is of a paramount prerequisite.
The 134 I own is very nice, but I'm just not 100% happy with it, before our second baby comes along I wanted to buy a few things I won't be able to in the near future. So that will have to go back, I'll leave it a couple of weeks just in case something comes to light, but I've resigned myself to the fact it's a fake now.
Never mind,
Kind regards,
Marcus
