    AB.

At very least Andrew, it's not a Juncker loop.

        Hi Andy,
Now, its 220am here so i'm half asleep but am I right in saying that my case is a Junckers case or all cases are the same except KQ???

There are several different style cases. There are no 'rules' to say that a certain maker's RK must come with a certain style case. But you can see trends or patterns in the style of case used by different RK makers. The important thing is that the case is original. The makers of the RKs most likely did not make their own award cases, but bought them in from firms specialising in case making - they may have bought in from several different case makers at different times during the war, or even at the same time.

Yes, that was my point as well Andrew. The exception are the cases w/ Klein und Quenzer marks inside the lid. Even these were probably not actually made by KQ...

Well I'd like to say a big "thank you" to all who replied. Its a large investment to make on one cross especially when its your 1st KC so i'm very greatful for all your comments.

              Regards,

              AB.

P.S. Don't suppose anyone has a Junckers loop tucked away in their cupboard for sale by any chance????

I hear that there's a new book about to hit the market so 'investment' may not be a bad approach.....the subject matter (no matter what it is) seems to always spike upon publication.

In this case I'm sure of it Soon, a great deal of folks will be able to determin original, period from BS!

However, as a purest I would like a proper, period loop but to others the little bit of silver stock means nothing, with the focus on the medal itself!

If the set is priced right...
                Regards,
                Dave

I too am a sort of a purest. I'm on the hunt for a Junckers loop already Dave. To be honest I've always wanted a Junckers KC so i guess its the collector in me 1st and closely followed by the investor in me 2nd. I don't plan the sell it in the near future. Just savor it for a few years. The price?? well i don't have a problem telling that. $16000 Australian Dollars.

                      Regards,

No he's not, but that price at the currect exchange rate is 9600 euros. I can't find a cased '800 L/12' Juncker ( notice no 's' Dave ) in that condition anywhere for that. Please tell me if anyone does.
