The point is that it was sold as the original KC of Mooyman. And as many Dutch collectors know Mooyman lost his one and replaced it with a copy. In my opinion to replace a copy by an original KC to make the story look real, is even worse.

Interesting Mooyman's KC purchased for 20 Guldens... You should buy an armour vest Kevin. The Dutch gang won't like this....

I think it would be wise that if you are willing to buy a KC in the future to just order the KC book from Dietrich.
If an unissued Rk is as valuable to you as a '57 piece you can always sell them to me for the same price a'57 piece is going.
To me this statement is complete nonsense.

As you can see on the picture of Mooyman the paint on the swastica has been removed also.
Thanks

Was that in Waterlloplain? One day I was riding my bike in Amsterdam (near by the former Ajax Stadium), happy with my very first IRON CROSS II class 1914. Then when I got to home my cross was lost!!!! Yes, someone must be even now happy with that find. for the finder.
BUT THAT KC for 20 gulden!!!! Even a stolen bike in Amsterdam is more expensive than that.
I wish I were the buyer.

Edgar

No offense, gentlemen, but this thread reminds me of a game children play called, in the US, 'Whispering down the lane'. A child whispers a sentence into the next child's ear, that child whispers it into the next one's ear, and so on, until, after perhaps 10 or 15 'ears' later, the sentence, now quite different than how it started, is told to the group by the last child.
Look at all the misunderstandings here!
1. Mooyman bought a replacement cross in the 50s.
2. A fake L/12? There are fake postwar Junckers?
3. The factory was not bombed--no documentation?
4. The L/12's were still produced post 45? Um Gottes Willens!!!
5. The group is good/bad/RK replaced/not replaced
6. An unissued RK is only as interesting as a 57 RK
7. No, an unissued fake RK is only as interesting as a 57!
8. There are doubts about every attributed piece!
9. ?????
Please, everyone take a deep breath and relax!
