Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross with out swords

    Hello,

    Time for some big boys,

Weight 41.9g (A nice girl at Tesco's weighed it, I'll take it down the post office at a later date)

Maker mark 1 and silver content 950 I think, it looks like 950 I will get better photo's on Wednesday.

The markings look like Jody Beltrams.

Please don't consign this to the fake bin because of my antic's; what do think guy's.

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

The correct weight for a Deschler RK of the KVK without Swords is around 34gr, so 33.8 is about right for weight.

What you really need is extreme close up images of the central oakleaf wreaths/swastika/dates etc and compare the shape of the leaves etc with a benchmark original like Jody's They should be EXACTLY the same if they both came from the Deschler tooling.
Too hard to say for sure from the images posted.

I noticed that the two bars holding the ring to the cross are solid, where other I have seen are ribbed...is this a charactistic of Deschler, or have I just not seen enough of these?

Accidentally offending people on the internet since 1997

                    Hi Mark,
The "solid" supports are on the version without swords. The "ribbed" supports are on the swords version. The ribbon loops are also like this.
                    Regards,
                    Dick
