Reverse of Marcus's. To me they look like both came from the same die. Jody's has a bit more frosting than the one of Marcus. However, I can't see as good as I use to, so I will leave it up to better eyes than mine to decide.
Dont panic Marcus !
The case and the ribbon are certainly OK in my opinion, and the cross looks fine, but some better images would help for final confirmation. Weight is OK... so in any case it looks like you have a good one there
Its really nice to see that this previously much under rated award is becoming more recognised and discussed....we have a lot more information on them now as a result of pooling our common knowledge... a real plus for the forum and thanks to one and all for pooling information.
Mr Stump, can I kindly ask you if you have ever seen a Deschler piece in gold, or were they only the 20's (as discussed in an earlier thread) ?

I owned a Golden Deschler Knights Cross in Gold. I know of 9 others bought by a collector in California with 3 Zimmermann Golden RK KVK.
Thank you Bill thats a great help, your eyes may not so good but you can use a computer, there's a scanner next to me as well ............can I get it do what I want!!!!!!!!!!
I suppose I should read the instructions.
Chris,Bill
I'm not used to being so pleased and reading good news on here.I never thought I'd own something like this...........out of the bad comes the good, this is a part of my thousands of pounds refund from all those reproductions.
Originally posted by Chris Jenkins Bill... have you knowledge of any genuine "65" marked RK to KVK ?
Sorry, I am afraid I haven't seen one of these marked "65". I wouldn't doubt if Klien and Quezzer didn't make them, but the Deschler and Zimmermann are the more common. The RK to the KVK is one item I had little interest in my early day. I was one of the "combat only" collectors for a lone time. I bought most of the example of this award direct from vets, was satisfied with a nice cased example and now regret that I didn't stash a few back when a nice one only cost $50.00. Cased as well.
