A recent Sell Offer From Poland

Just a few things I was recently offered to buy from Poland...
The seller offered 13 seperate medals with these for 300.00 euro total.
I'm guessing they are fakes? I just don't know about these crosses...what do you think?

Thanks for looking and your comments.

How well do you know him?

I don'y know medals enough to say one way or the other on them but even as fakes they would be worth about that. If you don't know him, I would be a bit leery of a bait & switch deal here or an empty box showing up. I would be very nervous on this.

It looks to me as if pavel Nowack, or something like that is at it again. Please do search of this name, and find out.

I like how the Spange combo hinges at the joint. Is the pin supposed to bend too while it bends at the hinge? That's got to be a first for me, even in a fake. How creative.

I wouldn't buy one of these, not even look at them twice.

I think you should tell the 'seller' to go get stuffed, save your money and buy something original.

I would like better pics but I think the spanish cross could be good.

if it is a pavel Nowak or anything like that, stay away, he is wanted for fraud in the US and sends out these sort of offerings , usually photos from dealer sites or other peoples collections posted on fora.
He gets your email address from fora too.

What happens is, you send him the money and well end of story.

I am always suspect of random cheap offerings from ANYWHERE.

                      Cheers

My thanks to everyone. Peter and Mark…you guys must be clairvoyant…Pavel Nowak is EXACTLY who made this offer. I’d say I just got my moneys worth as a new member. I was suspicious not just for the price, but because I did not contact him first. He must have gotten my email the same way as described. This guy is history...I'm so glad I didn't make a purchase.

By the way, I never like to make multiple purchases based on photos that all have different backgrounds. It makes me think the photos were stolen from others as well...like Mark suggested. When I make multi item purchases I always insist for more photos (showing the items grouped together) in an original photo. My Kodak photo software identifies what type and model camera took the photo...these photos were from three different cameras.

He has also offered the daggers that I have posted on this thread

I’ll warn others at that discussion as well.

                          No Problem Scott

The man contacted me too a year ago and he even send me a picture of him (probably not) with his whole personal life story attached to it.

Do a search here or in google with the name and enjoy the reading

Makes me wonder why he hasnt changed his name yet ...

                          Welcome to the forum

I can't see the pictures but this has to be a scam. From the descriptions of the items alone you can tell. I saw a Spanish Cross and a spange and most likely EK1 combo offered. The whole lot is 300 Euro! A Spanish Cross alone usually goes for well more than twice that. Then spange/ek combo is a very trickey item and has been heavily faked I belive. It's rare and if real would command a high price. You don't see them for sale much. No one who was legit would sell either of these items for that price, let alone both of them and 10 other pieces. If it's way to good to be true, it probably is. Steer clear of unsolicited offers.

Maybe someone with Search skills can find it, but I believe that engraved EK1 farce was discussed here not too long ago?
