For what it's worth... from all the pics posted in this threat, none is a Juncker jumpring to me. (perhaps the first one , but certainly not as a usual Juncker finish)

    Pieter.

If not Juncker loops then do you see matches to the other makers or are they non-standard?

Why only Juncker loops? As I understand it there are variations in S&L loops...should these not be discussed too?

That said, I am a purest to the enth degree (good or bad) but also a bit logical. If a Cross shows 'period' bits, ok! However, if it is attached to a loop, ribbon etc which isn't period I am turned off.

Anything can happen to include a loop change...

However, when we see very expensive Crosses being offered with loops that are bought on Ebay for $10 and attributed to a family purchase and suggested provenance....this makes my hair stand on end.

Logically, I like to see the loop 'match' the Cross but if it feels good and looks good, it just may be good
I agreed with that. Yes, I am a begginer but I fell that way.

Richard the Juncker loops attached to the "800" marked crosses are 100% textbook for the Juncker "800" KC. No doubt about that at all. I believe my friend Pieter has seen and bought way to many unmarked Juncker KC's, L/12 KC's, lazy2 KC's with their typical loop he can't see the difference anymore between an 800 loop for the Juncker "800" KC and an 800 S&L loop.
About the picture posted of the unmarked Juncker I can't give comments as I would like to see other examples first. It is not in my collection.
VERY early...well finished and angled sharply
Early Juncker "800" KC's: some rounded,

The S&L loop will be next, but we have still a lot to discuss concerning the Juncker loops.
S&L, like the juncker, has an earlier, rounded tip version. While the later S&L loop has truncated tips.

Please if you disagree come forward.
              Thanks

I would if I could as you are wrong here.
Please note I am only talking about the Juncker "800" cross loop. The unmarked ones, L/12, lazy2 etc. all have different loops in my opinion.

This is my unmarked Juncker: zinc core, Neusilber and of course unmarked.

Thanks Marcus for the picture you posted. To me a textbook loop.
Erich will post his unmarked Juncker KC later today as his KC has an "800" marked loop.

                    Any others?
