    Good news Dave

I've never been against a scientific approach to investigation.

What I DO have a problem with are biased assumptions and gut feelings. We have another opportunity (like the Rounder debate) to use a scientific approach that hopefully yields results that EVERYONE can analyze and agree to a single proven conclusion.

Nothing worse than "here-say" deeming an item fake based on a few people with an ajenda vs. other collectors.

I will accept the word of the person having the badge tested.

The cloak and dagger hidden personality thing here was interesting...thanks Dietrich for just saying who's doing the testing.

Although Tom and Prosper have repeated over and over that I have one of these, I do not.

I have said they sure seem to have the attributes of an original DKiG. But the dotting makes no sense at all...

So what if it TESTS to period pieces? Any of you fellows collect daggers? Heard of "parts pieces"?

Have any of these turned up in ANY attributed groups? I haven't heard of one...

          Brian,

Most of the 'attributed groups' I see are nothing more than a letter from a dealer. That is worthless to me.

I put my $1000 up to buy this German Cross because I believe it to be original and I like a good deal, which is far more rare than a German Cross.

Darrell, you know where I'm comming from....this pissing and shouting eventually gets resolved when (we) REALIZE that it's all for a common goal. Clarity in a hobby!

This guy, without cloak and dagger tactics, early on, took it upon himself to x-ray Knight's Cross cases in search of commonalities and the 'research' has continued. Clear, concise.....

I think it's near time for a 'get out of jail' card and a bit of recognition for his efforts! Like a lot of us, we talk a lot..however, this guy has really stepped up!

              Dave,

I agree that it is time to lift the suspension. We all have made decisions that were not the most perfect. I have always believed, from police department years, that a suspension is normally better than an expulsion. Discipline is a training method and most learn well from being so 'trained'.

Yes! I'm still smarting from a 45 day suspension...and that was 27 years ago Eventually, however I trained the next generation Sgts., Lts' and even a (current) Captain! We all grow...

Hey I'm willing to bury hatchets and I've done just that for many over the years.

However, I didn't join another Forum and sling sh!t and barbs continuously at WAF members from some other venue. As they say on Mercury ... It'll be a cold day in hell.

I'm with Darrell on this one.

There were too many purposely hateful words and falsehoods spouted on the other forum without justification or a recourse for rebuttal. The WAF and it's members are looked down with contempt there.

Do we really need to allow that vitrol to enter our forums?

Feel free to pm me for details.

                        Really?

You are talking about bringing back a guy who has repeatedly come back HERE using fake names to put his nasty little comments in on people's items out of pure vengeance, not love of the hobby.

                          Brian S,

I am sorry to hear that. I don't frequent any other forums, other than GMIC, so am not aware of misbehavior. How dissapointing.

And for the record Bob I've never disbelieved Tom's results only been beaten up by his methods. It's OK to be wrong and it's OK to be right. For me it's not OK to turn right into a sword to swing all over the Internet.

This is off the topic at hand But I agree 100%. Although I was never named per say in the SH** slinging at the other forum, I was inferred that if any one had one of these Dotted DK's, and if you tried to defend it you were either idiots or dishonest ( I did get mine from a vet along with two cloth ones) He just ignored my post and just attacked the people who got there's from dealers?? I seems like he has a Axe to grind with some of those members.
