You guys need to spell this slowly to me. Darrell, you're saying that the the one from Weitze is the typical L/11 and since it doesn't look like first one ergo it's a 43?

How about this one then. To me it has the same features like wschmidt's: pinsize, waves on the swordshandles, the handles have the same broadness(?) top and bottom etc.

PS: not my picture, so thanks for borrowing it.

If this last post is of an L/11 Deumer, the pin is very wide at the base for the Deumer. I think I see a '1' on the right of the pin. Yet, if it is an L/11, it is.

Let's see what's under the pin...drumroll....and here we go.

Robert, I still believe you did a good presentation and proved what wschmidt's cross is: L/11. The pin size on L/11s vary from about the size that Darrell shows to almost 43 size. What does the difference to me is the swordhandles. L/11 comes like the one here and 43's always, afaik, have the concave shape and no waves as shown on your 43.

First one is L/11, believe it's the same as below, and the second is 43 as the mm says.

So this way we can continue to show each other pictures, believe I've a couple of my cat too somewhere, but what is the conclusion here?

Then let's look at the obverse of the first badge and the known '43'...

Yep and the swordhandles are clearly different on the obverse too or I need new glasses.

Here's another marked 43 for comparison to the last set of photos...

To me wschmidt's cross is anything but 43 and I believe the pics speak for themselves but I give up

After seeing the other Deumer examples with the wide straight pins I believe the cross is an original Deumer, and not a '43'. I'm back to my original belief based on the difference between the sword handles, the pins and the wreaths of the '43' and the Deumers posted.
