If this one is not a wartime issue, then when was it made? What is the difference between a wartime issue and a non wartime issue? why are they not called "fakes"? Many high end collectors hesitate to post pictures of their collections as it might be viewed as "bad taste". All I can say is that there are members of this forum who have quite staggering collections....so I'd lose any competion before I began !
Quite honestly, the most cherished piece I have is one awarded to my grandfather in the trenches in Flanders in 1916, where he served as a 16 year old (he lied about his age)....not worth much on the market, but priceless to me.
So with your EK1....someone probably went through hell to have been awarded it. It certainly isnt a humble piece....and stands up there proudly in its own right.
