there is one basic rule when you want to find out ones EK's maker:
NEEEEEVER look at the needle first. it should only be a "second" proof or legitimation of that you have seen or identificated while scaning the obverse. - and the overse in this case speaks very clear words: Friedl Schickle.

A good eye and vast knowledge are a great thing to have! I too believed it to be a Schickle, but was curious as to the minor differences between the two makers, and after careful analysis of the core, it is definately distinguishable from a Rettenmaier, and I now know exactly what to look for in the future. Thanks again for the priceless education. R
