Nice cross! I believe you ought to be able to identify it fairly easily by comparing the die flaws in the 6 o'clock beading, as well as the numerals in the core.

Thanks for the reply's all, and Mr. Hankmeister, I have looked and done a search on die flaws and the only real big hit I get is the header post in the cross forums about the S&L die flaw on the KNIGHTS CROSS.... I see what you mean about the die flaw on the 6 oclock arm bead but can not distinguis any die flaws on the numerals yet... not really sure what Im looking for. Can you point me in the right direction in the forums to help me learn what you are refering to...(gad I hope that made since) lol... Thanks for your help.

Unless Graveur was in business with F. Zimmermann..
From my understanding, this Cross and packet are supposed to be original with eachother. The Cross and packet were together from a big collection from Kansas about 20 years ago. It was in that collection for 35 to 36 years, the person that bought that collection finally put a bunch of the items up for sell a few months ago and I bought/traded for it along with an unmarked Gab, unmarked zink LW arty, the denaz LW arty and the MuK 5 LW ground assault badge, all from the same collection.
The cross's core also rattles which I learned that Graveur's are known for, I am not sure about Zimmermann Cross's rattling??
          do they??
I was with the gentlman back in 1986 at a gun show in Kansas when he bought the collection, If the original owner of the collection pieced it together well then we just may have a miss matched Cross and Packet.
If any one can shed some light on who the maker of this cross might be, I sure would appreciate the info....
