I get very stressed looking at photos as these. Out of focus, funny angles...Photograph the piece in good lighting and straight on.

i am sorry about the light thing , as you may not be aware we dont get much in the way of GOOD light in the scottish half of the UK So i will try again just for you. As far as the funny angles go , i took them like that to show the ribbing or lack of it.

For matters of originality there was no time limit on returns in the estand rules

Any daylight is good and better than any camera flash or artificial light as lightbulbs. Even Scottish daylight

With these new photos i have to agree with you Stomper. The piece do not look like a genuine cross to me either. The frame is blurred and crudely cut. Return the cross and ask for a refund. I am sure the seller will work this out with you.

Where is the thread on e-stand where you bought this? I'm surprised no one caught it, the cross would have been spotted a mile away

From the front it almost looks like a Shinkelform. Anyone else see that.

Stomper - I don't think you should worry about upsetting someone who sold you a dud. There is no way the moderators should ever consider removing you for posting your gripes when you have been turned over (whether deliberately or by accident).

I recollect seeing the EK2 on e-stand - maybe the seller would like to make a comment?

I just found the thread on the estand in 2 seconds. Shouldn't be hard to find if anyone is interested.

                          Stomper

My advice to you, if you find you have purchased dud items on the estand, is to contact the seller straightaway informing him and post the item in the appropriate forum, asking for opinions.
Keep all your emails and PMs as this may help if a moderator gets involved.

If you follow the above, usually it all gets resolved. You might end up with the postage costs, but I suppose thats the chance you take if you are not sure about the item.

You probably want to cut out the threads like this, with the loud tones and head banging icons. You have had a couple of minor problems, don't over do it.

I noticed in post 15 you mentioned you had not even contacted the seller. If you had contacted him before this thread, there may have been no need for it.

                          cheers
                          Graeme

i am the seller...first i heard about this was right before Graemes post here...i just wrote Stomper and said the same thing...i am not convinced the cross is bad but if it is so be it...i am not going to jack someone up for 100.00 ....maybe we could turn this into a thread on how to deal with this like men instead of like cry babys...ridiculous to think that i would not deal with this correctly...anybody that has done a deal with me knows i am honorable...\there was no mention in the estand that this was a bad piece...you bought it; suck it down..if you dont like it send it back...easy as that...no need to get on a soap box..
                            mike
ps...ill tell you what getting gutted is...its sending 800.00 across the pond...and never getting anything and the seller disappearing...that happened to me last year off Estand...that happens to you then you can howl...ok?

Ok Graeme and Mike , this is the type of thing i was trying to avoid . Firstly i was trying to determine if it was a fake b4 contacting you, secondly Graeme until Mike mailed me there ,then correct i hadnt spoke to him , so if he wasnt going to be on for a few days was i just to sit about waiting before askin questions . I dont think so .
Mike "there was no mention in the estand that this was a bad piece...you bought it; suck it down"
What the hell was that supposed to mean . Suck it down. And if no one criticises it on estand is it then is it then classed as genuine.
Bloody well knew this would happen . Wish i`d kept my Friking mouth shut . Before i finish should i be apologising cos some ass stung you before , because as i see it you are talking to me like some sort of friking idiot...

Well, this makes you see things in a different light. I agree that this could/should have been handled another way. The way Stomper described his experience, I immediately thought another fly by night seller struck and ran....but ...Mike, I didnt know you were like that.....and a Moderator too.........go figure......
