Gutted - twice in a week

How is it i can take big risks buying stuff from ebay for about 18 months and never been stung, regardless of all the scare stories you hear about ebay. Yet twice in a week i have bought fakes from estand . The 1st time i spent $150 and although i have not had it returned yet i am sure i will get it . Today i received a cross which i dont think my 2 year old son could be convinced of its authenticity . I cant even remember how much this 1 cost me but to be honest im past caring now. My problem now is that in the past ,anytime i have seen people stand up and try to be heard with regards to these matters they are instantly removed from the forum.
    What do i do...

Try buying from "secure" dealers and collectors?

And I am sorry for you :-(

Can we see this second cross that you received today? If it's truly a fake, you should have no trouble getting a refund because you are well within the seven day return period.

The 2 guys i bought from have amassed about 4000 posts between them so i thought they were fairly safe to buy from . I will know better next time.

politely request your money back from the seller and if he does not want to give your money back...name him here and in every other thread you can think of...if he does not take the opportunity to make good on his bad sale then he only has himself to blame for the hassle and bad publicity he gets...Cheers and sorry to hear about your problems. Torsten.

I think you may have to slow down and consider your purchases more carefully. You seem to buy an awful lot of stuff so it only stands to reason some of it will be bad, especially if you are grabbing up items quick without much consideration. I know you have to do this sometimes but it may not be the best way of buying. You'll achieve your goals eventually one way or the other.

If you will read the e-stand rules, you will find that you should be protected by the 7 day return policy (for ANY reason) at the very least. I usually do not buy from anyone that has not been a member for a while. Get a "feel" for members by looking at their postings and profile. I am always very suspicious of brand new members that go straight to the e-stand and start selling rather than contribute by postings for some period of time. I am not saying this is the case in your situation...rather I am giving you some pointers to protect yourself.

Picture 1 shows how polished away the ribbing is , if you touch it it is smmooth to the touch
Picture 2 shows how badly finished the arm to the left of the date is
Others are well. You make up your own mind. Like the rusty spots on the silver

Have the Estand rules changed? You have a 30 return for originality,
