Yes, A very interesting thread indeed. I did not see that one until late (late like 3am!) last night when I got home the bar, and after reading through it I went to bed wondering about the legitimacy of the document I had just hours earlier been raving about.
Mr. Clemens raised some very interesting and valid points, and while I am not too familiar with the tactics of the US Army nor do I have detailed information on the positions of Allied armored units on the Western front this late in the war, one of the things that went through my mind was “Could it have been Polish or French Armored units?”
What a surprise it was to log on this morning and see the information posted by “BHS1956” regarding the exact location of the action stated in the document.
This definitely deserves more research. There is little doubt in my mind that the document under discussion is not original – to me it looks to be 100% legit - and while knocking out 7 tanks with 7 Panzerfausts all within an hour or so does seem a bit hard to believe, remember that more astonishing feats of bravery in combat have been documented.
