              The scanner tarts it up really, it comes with the outer carton and case too Your box is a stunner Andy, I like these devoid of the centre piece in the block.

              Andy, on yours just below the hinge area can you see a little raised dot/dimple on yours ?

              Some do some don't for what ever the reason it's there for, perhaps some allignment 'dot'? Alot the time I've seen these specific crosses with the hinge not placed in the recess on the cross (like mine) to get get it more central.

                The 4 :

                Yes Andy , your 4 looks like it is the type I mm die with the centre dimple , and on yours it is very worn to a star shape . I can only assume yours is an early made one too. Does anyone know ?
                Just woundering if there were any simularity in events with S&L Ring stamped EK 2's , where the junction of the arms on the 4 had the same feature . Of course much smaller die and was only used for a few months , as that fine pin on the die did not stand up to the pounding and was quickly replaced with a modefied closed top maker stamp . On the KvK the open top 4 was kept with a solid arm junction .
                Pics to the above ;
