I'm guessing that the last part, 'MT', means matrose, but have no clue as to the first three letters. It would be nice if we could post pics of unser Opa's medals. I even have a picture of mine wearing his ek2, as well as the actual medals. Where would the appropriate forum be? Thanks, guys!! Charlie

some more info about my grampa:

my dad told me, that the ship my grampa was on broke in 2 parts and he kept firing, so he got the EK for that. he also said that my grampa got a Oberleutnant or Kapit******228;nleutnant or something in the last months of the war... he was a Ehrenoffizier
from Bootsmaat to Kapit******228;nleutnant wud be 11 ranks, 11 ranks in 2 months is alot... again im doubting what my dad tells me
