Only africa can answer that. Here is a larger image of the marking.

                  Cheers.

Marking on the cross is 800 and on the loop 800 and 65. Comments on that?

                      Yes, I have a comment.
The loop doesn't match the cross.

                        65 Klein & Quenzer A.G. Idar/Oberstein.
The characteristics of the cross does not match a 65 Klein & Quenzer cross in which the marking on the loop indicates it to be. The loop could have been replaced though. Interesting. This is the second "Rounder" with a 65 mark in just a few days.

                        Cheers.

                          Africa,

do a search on the forum about the Rounder and you will find out that this piece is very, very contorversial - to say the least. If you have the possibility to return the cross for a refund I would advise you to do so.

Since the time Detlev Niemann, based on the extensive quantity he has handled over the years and thereby not having encountered a Rounder from an original source, has declared them fakes it is a dead issue. There are also other factors that astrongly point in the direction of a post war manufacture, such as Allan's FTIR research.

There is no need to discuss this cross or why it has a 65 marked loop attached or maybe a set of fake oaks or a fake ribbon. It is considered a fake (or reproduction) at this point in time and - as I said - try to give it back, if you can.
