    Rounder bargain?

IMO no, but for folks who may be convinced that this type is period Manion's is offering one at a start price of $600!

Jody promised he'd try and bring the Company back to mainstream and I think this 'offering' shows effort. The Cross is offered in the 'Reproductions'

Interesting too is the ground down 'maker mark' on the loop!

Looks as though someone tried to rub out the 65 mark, it may have been the only original thing in this piece!

Jeez, why not just replace the loop?

Harry, I'm not up on K&Q but I have doubts about the loops being period....does the finish and font including the length appear ok to you?

Hard to tell, it looks close, but on comparison I think the font is different....compared with this.....

Thanks Harry, yes I'd say they are different!

The font definately looks different to me. As for the loop itself, it looks well finished not like the usual poor reproduction efforts and better than others Ive seen on two other 'rounders' Ive seen. Could the loop be original? Or does the font differences preclude this?

Did they not sell 65 marked RK loops at Ebay a while ago ?

                          Cheers.

JG, I'm comfortable discounting the loop as post war and as Peter observed yes, some fellow on Ebay.de was selling 65/800 loops at 10eu!

Not to change the subject, but does somebody know for sure that all K&Q loops were stamped in the same way with the same tool, i.e. same numerals?
