    I need help !!! on 3 EK 1st class

To save on thread, I'm going to try to do 3 EK's in 1 thread. I need opinions on these. I looked in the fake section and really didn't have any luck, which is good !! I'll do 3 views of each 1 at a time. Chime in anytime. #1 unmarked

Hi Mitch, Number "3" is known as a Floch fake. You can tell by the shape of the pin and how the bottom of the "3" falls off. You can find numerous examples in the fake section. Here is the link: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=101955 .I am not familiar with the pin/catch arrangement on the first cross. The second one however looks fine and may me an unmarked Paul Meyhauer. Hope this helps and sorry for the bad news.

                      Hi Nate,
Thanks for the quick answer. I forgot #3 is maker marked 12. And I don't know what you mean about 3 dropping off. It is not lower than the other numbers if that is what you mean. Let me know.
                      Thanks, Mitch

Your welcome. Look at the link to see how the '3" appears. "12" is not a known maker of a EKI or EKII. L/12 is a maker for Junker. Is #3 L/12 or marked 12? Doesn't matter anyway just curious. Still a fake. I'm looking in Gordon's book to match #1 as we speak.

                          Nate,
#3 is just marked 12 which is listed as a maker in the list in this forum at the top of this section. The 12 is on the back of badge, not pin, so maybe we have a whole new fake . There was no link so I'll try again in the fake section.
                          Thanks , Mitch

My mistake, Maker 12 is not listed in Gordon's book or in our reference section (not forum).

I agree that # 3 is a Floch. These can be spotted a mile away.

As for the other two ... the pictures are a bit dark, but I'd like to say ok ... my thoughts on makers are:

                              # 1 - Souval
                              # 2 - S&L
