Hello Richard wouldnt I know that someone from the emerald Isle wouldnt believe a word I said,If I told you I caught some big fish off of black rock county clare would you want photographic evidence then or would you believe me over a pint of guiness.Lets get serious now,have you any period photos that show the design of the eagle (CLOSE UP)If so I would be interested to see them.I can not only talk the talk but also walk the walk untill somebody has 100% prove that droop tails are fake.Also who told you it was my 3rd cousins second uncle that decimated the Das Reich division,they are wrong it was my gran armed only with a rolling pin when they came out of the pub,gran never carried a bayonet or pistol.Best Regards Joey.

Since you came here prancing and dancing around like you have all the answers, then by all mean share them with us. Since you fancy yourself either an expert beyond reproach or some type of self percieved golden child, YOU tell us why it is real, it isnt up to us to provide the answers to your ambigous inquiry

Surely such a smarmy approach to this topic means that you must have some information you are dieing to share, though dont have the emotional stabilty or maturity to just come right out and tell us. Whether you are looking for the long stroke to your ego or just like alienating everyone around you, I dont know or really care.

Since this thread is yours, is up to you to prove to us why its real, and not up to us to prove to you why it isnt. The onus is on you, not anyone here.

The cross itself looks identical to my untrained eye, just the eagles are different. Is it possible this award was originally designed in 1936-37 intended for some other purpose, perhaps as a luft award to be given out during the spanish campaign, but just not instituted until 1939 to commemorate the Spanish campaign? Thereby a few of these awards may have been produced early on as samples or prototypes by the manufacturer??
