DKiG which I hope to own by next year.

That DKiG with diamonds and red case looks wicked . Wonder how much that would cost .

surely the most beautiful of all crosses. Pity none were awarded. I like the construction of these awards.

Was checking it out and on Neimen's book the DKiG with diamonds is listed at 35,000€ and the case at 7,000€ . If I could afford that ammount of money, it sure would be a nice award to own

Niemann's book is quite out of date with the price of A DK with Diamonds. Probably more like double, about $80,000.00 US for a minty example.

                  Lads,
Lets not fight. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! The fake DKiG is a great substitute for those of us who haven't got $80,000, well I think so cos I have one!

Bob, Can you post your original so we can see the differences?

Anyway back to business, anyone else want to post why they 'covert' a particular cross

Hi Bob ... a real stunner. Any ideas exactly how many diamonds on this master-piece?

                            Darrell,

I hate to post more detailed photos, the reverse, or give the details about the diamonds. They are all full cut and sparkle brilliantly.

No need to educate those who fake these. As long as the fakes are as crudely made and not close to the originals, I feel comfortable. I don't want to contribute to their knowledge.

No problem ... I was just curious if you have ever counted them? It would be a little hard on the peepers to say the least.

"This stunningly beautiful museum jeweler’s duplicate is produced exactly as the originals found in the West Point Museum, in New York. It is constructed in five sections held together with six rivets. The wreath is 14 caret gold clad and studded with 106 zircons, each in its mounting and not glued! It is the standard size German Cross, based on the typical “Austrian” variation. This beautiful piece weights 116 grams. It is maker marked “RATH MUNCHEN” on the wide “coke bottle” 50 mm pin. The total from tip to tip measures 62.5 mm and the piece is 6mm thick. Words cannot describe this beautiful award. "
