        Dave,

I gave Mr. Hanson the address of Peter and established contact via e-mail. I do not see any sense as a moderator to post for a suspended member. Wouldn't you think that defies the issue?

If you suggest that any information is supressed you are completely wrong. Also, there is nothing new, nothing Mr. Hanson did not already say before. Pleaser think twice in the future before accusing me of something I've not done!

As I told Mr. Hanson via e-mail, he is absolutely convinced that he found the proper material whereas two sources - having done the same investigation - cannot do so. However, the test done by Allan also show epoxy resin and it is again nothing new. Here is nothing Mr. Hanson did not already say shortly before he was suspended.

What was not necessary were the attacks on Brian and Gordon ...

              Dave,

as I said - I gave Peter the e-mail of Mr. Hanson with the message that he wants him to post. I strongly reject the underline that I'm trying to supress (already old and mentioned ) information!

Furthermore, I would not have posted his e-mail since my ethics do not allow to call a member of this forum a liar based on what one member concludes as the unshakable truth. Do do it with censoring would put me in another hot spot, wouldn't you think so?

Well, from a personal view point the case for rounders being post war is pretty much there unless someone can post a picture of Hitler awarding one. Although, there will be some who beleive they are wartime and they are of course welcome to their opinion.

Dietrich, what about amending you're pinned thread and make it into two scientific case files. One containing your data and one containing Tom's? That way people will be able to make an informed judgement based on evidence available.

No doubt the debate will continue

Frankly, this topic is ruining the crosses forum. I just don't care anymore, and would venture to say that most feel the same way. The "is it or isn't it" argument stopped being a search for knowledge a long time ago. It is now a series of vendettas, venom and people trying to justify things in their collections (or prove that others are lying etc etc etc). Members flock to these threads for the same reason that people slow down to see a wreck by the side of the road. It has become a public spectacle. I really just don't care if they are real or fake anymore..in fact I never cared, as I would never let one darken my doorstep. Rounders stink IMO. Isn't there somethng better to talk about in the world of EK collecting? This is, after all, the "flagship" sub forum of the website..one of the things WAF was founded on. Sheeesh

                            andy why this reaction ?

a forum is for discusion and help eatchother.
i am a collecter and with the info from tom. he is helping me !
ofcourse as a so called collecter who want the top pieces.
i will spend never 5000 euro on a rounder.
i can follow the statement of pro rounder fans. but as a collecter who spend money in his collection i will think 1000 times over and over again before i buy such a rounder.

                            regards johan

Thanks Pieter!, but guess what, it's not a rounder, or any other weird RK variation ...it's a Juncker, like most of the crosses found in real attributed RK groupings along w a few SLs, and the later war KQ 65s.

My comments weren't directed at Tom's input, but the whole topic. In fact, I think Tom makes some good points, but they are points that have been made before ad nauseum. I think anybody that can do a word search and read can find out all they need to know about the rounder before they plop their money down...it's a dead topic IMO, now fuelled by ego and one upmanship
