    George, yes there are....

Right down to the weight of the wool used, expected yield and accepted PROFIT etc etc!

Incredibly, these laws were published and thank goodness (most) lost to time

    Dave

You funny guy!!!! I just realized you answered a question (edited) with a question!

What do you base your assertions (IC 1st & 2nd) on? Printed material, experience, period law....or?

      Dave

I base on a bit of all of those. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Thanks George! Please show a 'bit' of the laws you use...heck that's only a 3rd

Really, I'm just messing with you to show all we really have is experience......

Experience, based in years and years of handling, holding and comparing which today doesn't amount to anything of value...

The current theme is 'prove it isn't period'.....

Oh and by the way....I can't prove the ribbons posted aren't!
          Regards,

Here we go! Sorry lads but these pages won't be made public any time soon....but just to give you an idea of just how regulated MANUFACTURING was and geared toward $$ for the state...

Simple items such as printed forms were closely regulated, signs, TEXTILES and even AWARDS

These are just a few of thousands and thousands of pages of rules, regulations etc etc set forth...

Too many people who would take advantage George.

Lately, I tend to side with those who do not share, as I have found that those who do and are pro-active are greatly out numbered and villified!

Just the typical and oft cited 'brain drain' where-in folks who have something to share are beaten down and worn out by those obsessive and countless posts....

                              You know the type!

The new 'test' of prove it's not period has and will continue to take a toll...

One just runs out of steam after a while.......
                              Regards,

That's too bad. I tend to side with those who, by asking questions and getting answers to them, ascertain the facts about this fascinating hobby -- to the benefit of all. I believe in sharing knowledge and information.
I guess it's just a matter of type.
